Indian Railways Starts Offering McDonalds, KFC, Domino’s to your Shatabdi, Rajdhani Trains

From June 15, travelers locally available Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains can pre-arrange their most loved fast food to their seat on the web, on telephone call or by SMS, with mandatory meals now becoming optional.

The Indian Railways has tied up with leading food chains, for example, Domino’s, KFC, McDonald’s and Sagar Ratna, among others. However, even as the service will start from June 15 onwards, Ludhiana travelers setting out to Delhi by Shatabdi might have the capacity to only order from Domino’s and different eateries, for example, Gyan Vegetarian at Ludhiana and Babbi Fish and Chicken.

Brands such as KFC and McDonald’s are yet to resume its delivery service at stations that comes under Ferozepur division of Northern Railways.

Other vendors that the railways have partnered with are Switz Foods, Only Alibaba, Haldiram, Bikanerwala, Nirula’s and Pizza Hut.

■ Visit www.ecatering.irctc.co.in.

■ Choose the appropriate station or enter your PNR number where you want food to be served or delivered.

■ Select food vendor, choose from menu options and place the order.

■ OTP received on your mobile phone while booking online to be verified during delivery.

 

To order food by phone call

■ Call ‘1323’ from your Mobile Phone and place the order.

■ Verify through OTP received via SMS.

■ Pay with cash on delivery.

 

To order food via SMS

■ Text ‘MEAL’, followed by PNR number to 139 from your Mobile Number.

■ Place your order with the help of customer care executive or through the help of information available online.

■ Verify through OTP.

■ Pay for meals later on time of delivery.
